Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Stealth Prompter ("we", "us") for your use of Stealth Prompter at https://www.stealthpromptr.com/ (the "service"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

Stealth Prompter helps you make short talking-head videos: it writes scripts with AI, shows them on a prompter beside your phone's camera, records your voiceover, adds captions and saves your videos. Some features, such as automatic social posting, are only on some plans.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to use the service.
  • Give us accurate details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One person per account. Don't share your login.

3. Plans and payment

  • The service is paid monthly. Prices are shown on our website and in the app before you pay, and are charged in the currency shown.
  • Your plan renews automatically each month until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't see or store your full card number.
  • You can switch plans at any time. Stripe adjusts your next bill for the rest of the month.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after that notice.
  • If a payment fails we'll try again and let you know. We may pause your plan until it's paid.

4. Allowances, fair use and credits

  • Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI scripts and caption runs, which resets on the 1st of each month. Unused allowance doesn't carry over.
  • To keep the service fair and affordable, there's a daily limit of 40 AI scripts and a monthly limit on AI use per account. When you reach a limit, AI features pause until it resets.
  • You can buy top-up credits. One credit is one AI script or one caption run. Credits are used after your monthly allowance, need an active plan to use, have no cash value, can't be transferred and don't expire while your account is open. They end when your account is deleted.
  • Writing or pasting your own scripts never uses your allowance.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel any time from Billing in the app. You keep your plan until the end of the month you've paid for, and it won't renew after that. See our Refund Policy for refunds.

6. Your content

  • You own your scripts, recordings and videos ("your content"). You give us permission to store, process and display your content only so we can run the service for you, including sending text and audio to our AI providers to write scripts and make captions.
  • You're responsible for your content and for anything you publish. Don't use the service for anything unlawful, misleading, hateful, harassing or that infringes someone else's rights, and don't impersonate anyone.
  • Videos you save count towards your plan's storage. Download anything you want to keep; we may delete videos after a period set by us and shown in the app, and we delete everything when your account is deleted.

7. AI-written scripts

AI can be wrong, out of date or unsuitable. Check every script before you record or publish it, particularly anything about health, money, law or safety. Scripts are suggestions, not professional advice.

8. Social posting

If your plan includes automatic posting, you connect your own accounts using your own developer apps on each platform. You must follow each platform's rules and pay any fees they charge. Platforms can change or limit their services at any time and we can't guarantee a post will be accepted.

9. Fair behaviour

Don't try to break, overload, copy or get around the limits of the service, use it to build a competing product, access other people's accounts, or resell it without our written agreement.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features. If we make a change that takes something important away from a paid plan, we'll tell you first.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or for non-payment, after letting you know where it's reasonable to do so.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or other law that can't be excluded. If you use the service for the purposes of a business, the Consumer Guarantees Act doesn't apply, and you agree it's fair and reasonable that it doesn't. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll email you or tell you in the app before it takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.

14. Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
