Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Stealth Prompter ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you use Stealth Prompter at https://www.stealthpromptr.com/. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Profile and content: the topics, tone and details you give us, your scripts, and the videos you save to your library.
- Billing: your plan, payment status, invoices and credit history. Payments are handled by Stripe. We keep only your card's brand, last four digits and expiry date so we can show you which card is on file.
- Usage: what AI features you use and how much, so we can apply plan limits and keep costs fair.
- Social accounts: if you connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn or X, the account name and access keys needed to post for you. Keys are stored encrypted.
- Technical information: your IP address and browser, used for security, such as limiting repeated sign-in attempts.
Your voice and camera
Your camera is used only while you film. Voiceover recordings stay on your phone; to make captions, the recording is sent to our AI provider and the timed words are saved with your script. We don't keep the audio file. Videos are uploaded only when you choose to save them to your library.
How we use it
- To run the service: write scripts, make captions, save and play your videos, and post to your connected accounts when you ask.
- To bill you and send receipts, account and service emails.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We don't sell your personal information and we don't use your content to train AI models.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run the service, and share only what each one needs:
- Stripe, for payments and invoices.
- OpenAI, to write scripts and make captions. The text and audio you send are processed under OpenAI's API terms.
- Our website host, where your account and videos are stored.
- The social platforms you connect, when you post to them.
Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We use providers that protect information in a way comparable to the Privacy Act. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use the cookies needed to keep you logged in and secure. The app also stores your prompter settings on your device.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete your profile, scripts, videos and connected accounts. We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires (seven years in New Zealand).
Your rights
You can see and correct most of your information in the app at any time. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing newth542@gmail.com. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Security
We use encrypted connections, store passwords as hashes and social keys encrypted, and serve videos through short-lived private links. No system is perfectly secure; if a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, we'll tell you and the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change and let you know of significant changes.
